I have always wanted to go on a vacation in Europe. However, due to time constraints in school and a lack of money, I have not yet done it. This year, my mother surprised me with the best Christmas present I have ever gotten. She gave me a slip of paper saying that she had paid for a vacation to Italy for my best friend and I. My best friend already knew about it and had not told me! I cannot believe she kept the secret for that long. Anyways, we are going to stay at a Tuscany farmhouse and have a very relaxing vacation. It will be weird to be somewhere where no one speaks English. I speak a small amount of Italian and my friend took a few semesters in college so we are hoping we can at least get by. I suppose we will see soon enough.
